About me…
If there is anything that has ever been consistent in my life it has been my love for animals and the outdoors. Since I was very young I was plotting ways to have a career working with animals and, to date, I have done a good job at accomplishing that. There has never been a time where I didn’t have a dog by my side and horses in my life. I am always in some barn somewhere. I started working with race horses as a teenager and from there, moved on to work in everything from eventing barns, to hunter/jumper, and then to dressage barns. While I had to give that up as a full time career later in life, I continue to always find myself with horses during my free time and of course, my dogs happily tagging along.
Photography simply began as another way to keep myself outdoors and connected to the equestrian world. I studied photography at the Art Institute of Philadelphia and worked as a studio manager and assistant in various commercial photography studios after graduation. While I wasn’t doing any of my own photography during that time, I had many great experiences and learning opportunities that were invaluable. It took 25 years before I picked up a camera again and since then, I’ve used every spare moment making up for that lost time.
